El Gobernador del Estado de Guerrero, Ángel Aguirre Rivero dio el claquetazo tradicional para marcar el inicio de la filmación de la película Hombre de piedra, dirigida y protagonizada por el actor Eugenio Derbez y que será ambientada en el puerto de Acapulco.
El Gobernador del Estado, Ángel Aguirre detalló que es un orgullo para Guerrero ser parte de proyectos como la película Hombre de piedra, porque es una gran oportunidad para continuar con las acciones que apuntan hacia la consolidación y el posicionamiento de Acapulco como un destino ideal para filmaciones, con los más bellos escenarios naturales y la infraestructura para ser sede de grandes proyectos cinematográficos.
El ejecutivo estatal consideró que además de ser un gran vehículo promocional, la película Hombre de piedra, con la participación de la exitosa productora Mónica Mendoza, se vuelve una propuesta bicultural, con talento de México y de Estados Unidos, que liga el nombre de Acapulco, con otras grandes ciudades americanas que fueron usadas como locaciones como Los Angeles y Nueva York.
A su vez, el secretario de Fomento Turístico de Guerrero, Javier Aluni Montes, indicó que la dependencia a su cargo seguirá promoviendo y apoyando las películas, videos, documentales y programas televisivos que seleccionen los destinos de Guerrero y que promuevan los incontables atractivos del estado en todo el mundo.
Detalló que la estructura orgánica de la Secretaría de Fomento Turístico a su cargo, incluye un equipo de promoción especializado para garantizar el éxito de todos los proyectos fílmicos que se lleven a cabo en la entidad.
A su vez, el director y actor Eugenio Derbez, manifestó el gran amor que tiene por Acapulco y el estado de Guerrero. Con el buen humor que le distingue, recordó que en este puerto ha tenido momentos inolvidables, “y otros que no se pueden mencionar”. Detalló que no será trabajo, sino un gran placer para él y todo su equipo de producción, pasar una temporada en Acapulco filmando Hombre de piedra.
Sobre la historia de la película, abundó que es sobre Valentín, un egoísta gigoló acapulqueño que encuentra de repente una paternidad que durante muchos años ignoró, hecho que lo lleva a enfrentar sus miedos y a descubrir la importancia de disfrutar cada momento de la vida.
En el legendario escenario de La Quebrada, en el Acapulco Tradicional, el gobernador Ángel Aguirre estuvo acompañado del director de Hombre de piedra, Eugenio Derbez, del secretario de Fomento Turístico del Estado de Guerrero, Javier Aluni Montes, la productora de la película y directora de Alebrije Producciones, Mónica Lozano, la presidenta Municipal de Acapulco, Verónica Escobar Romo, la actriz estadunidense, Jessica Lindsay, la pequeña actriz de siete años Loreto Peralta y el actor Hugo Stiglitz, quienes auguraron un gran éxito para este filme que resaltará las bellezas de Acapulco en su historia.
